my baby!

my boy Elijah in all his glory

I'm surprised you actually took the time to click here. No, I have to say more pleased than surprised. Well, now that you wasted all that time clicking here, I better put on a good show, yeah?

My name is Cassandra (see me; I am in the front row and dead center, or here's me and my hobbits), and I am enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh. This year I am a junior on my way to becoming an English Writing professor. My roommate's pretty cool... sometimes. We like to see Lord of the Rings together (that would be the best movie of all time). Hell, we just like to see movies. Visit her webpage (partially dedicated to me and my man Elijah's lost hat--it's funny) in My Links. My best friends here at school are Kevin, a high school buddy, and Emilie, whom I met through Japanese and whom I'll be visiting over the summer in Wisconsin.

I've traveled to Europe twice, the countries I've visited being Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. My favorite European city has to be Rothenburg, o.d.T., and in America, New York City, by far, was the most amazing place I've ever been. I left a piece of me there, and so from now on, my friends and I are planning on going back every year. There is no other place on Earth that is as exciting and alluring as New York.

I am a very passionate and stubborn person. I either love or hate something or someone; there is no apathy toward anything. For instance, I love Buffy/Xander, but I hate Willow/Tara (Willow/Oz forever). I am very loyal to my friends, and I am also a very outgoing person. I love taking day trips to places I've never been, even if it's in another state (Cleveland, Niagra Falls and Toronto). I hate people who park directly on the other side of the street as someone else. And I HATE the little doors in the Cathedral of Learning (if you go to Pitt, you must understand this).

For my entire life, I've been blessed with a best friend. She's the single most important person in my life. Her name is Jessi, and I seriously couldn't make it without her. Her faith in me and all that I do keeps me fighting and hanging on. Close on her heels is my fellow BXer, Mary. She's my perfect compliment, and probably we knew each other in a past life (eh, Mary?).

My second home is at Hallmark (when you care enough to send the very best). I've worked there for several years now, and I wouldn't work anywhere else for twice as much (I love my manager Ginger). I am--now and forever--a Hallmark girl. In fact, go support my store and visit Hallmark.

To contact me, email to hellsdairyman@yahoo.com or try to connect to me on AOL Instant Messenger at EoCaDHBXS or Gaeavixen.

A few of the things that make me... me (that was for you, Emilia):

  • Favorite movies: Billy Madison (but that's the best movie out there) or basically anything with Adam Sandler. Lord of the Rings is the obsession of my life, and if I didn't worship Adam as I do, it would be my favorite movie; I can't tell you how many times I've seen it in the theater because you wouldn't believe me. The Faculty, The Bumblebee Flies Anyway, Ghost World, Seven Year Itch, Keeping the Faith, Mallrats, Pretty Woman, Ghostbusters, A Life Less Ordinary, The Frighteners, and Joy Luck Club.
  •

  • Favorite book: Phantoms by Dean Koontz, or yet again anything by him. Again, Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan and all of Katherine Kerr's books.
  •

  • Favorite TV show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Duh! I also enjoy Angel, Jackass, The Osbournes, Invader Zim and Spongebob Squarepants, if you can believe that one.
  •

  • Favorite actors: ELIJAH WOOD--I used to despise him and laugh at him, and then LOTR came out, and the obsession began. I fell head over heels. Then there is the greatest man ever, Adam Sandler. Jason Lee, also, Nicholas Brendon , James Marsters or Seth Green. They are some sexy men! Oh, and I have to throw Christian Kane in there because, um, wow. Oh, oh, oh! Ben Stiller and Edward Norton as the "God Squad" in Keeping the Faith; they're so adorable!
  •

  • Favorite actresses: Cate Blanchett is probably at the top now, for her amazing portrayl as Galadriel in LOTR. Franka Potente cos Lola Rennt (Run Lola Run to Americans) rocks my freaking world. Maybe Drew Barrymore or Juliet Landau. And Sarah Michelle Gellar for her amazing role in Cruel Intentions. And of course Marilyn Monroe!
  •

  • Favorite singer: My beloved Tarkan. I would probably seriously die for the man. He makes tingle and never fails to give me goosebumps with his astounding voice. I also like Phil Collins, Richard Marks, Linkin Park, Ozzy, Ludacris (I can't help myself...), Janet Jackson, Stabbing Westward, Kane and Maaya Sakamoto.
  •

  • Favorite song: "Bu Gece," without a doubt, by Tarkan. But among my other faves are: "Miserable"--Lit (my BX song), "It Doesn't Matter"--Alison Krauss, "Blurry"--Puddle of Mudd, and "Vector"--Maaya Sakamoto. And oddly enough, "E.I."--Nelly (it's my theme song).
  •

  • Favorite quotes: "What about Brett Faaaaavvvv... re?"--Ben Stiller, There's Something About Mary. Also: "If you don't fight, you're just waiting to be killed."--Van-sama, Vision of Escaflowne. "Touch not lest ye be touched."--Jason Lee, Mallrats. "I know what it is you saw, for it is also in my mind."--Cate Blanchett, Lord of the Rings.
  •

  • Favorite anime: Without a doubt, Vision of Escaflowne. Such an amazing, pulse-pounding, eye-catching show. The characters are masterfully drawn and the plot is original and mind-blowing. Plus, if Van-sama were real, I'd jump his bones. Other than Buffy, there isn't another show out there that moves me quite like this one. I cry every time I see the end. Fushigi Yuugi used to be my favorite, too. Oh, and the funniest anime ever: Sorcerer Hunters.

That's the breakdown on me. I don't think you cared all that much, but at least you got through it! If you so feel the need, you can contact me. I'd be glad to hear from you!
